I'm a designer & jewelry Artist. See my interlaced gemstone, silver, & 14k gold jewelry. All of my items are unique, beautiful, & handmade. I use this blog to share my work.

I was raised in a rockhounder family. My dad sells rocks for a living (www.scottsrocks.com.) I write articles about gemstones including determining quality & authenticity . I direct my articles toward a wider audience, assuming little or no previous knowledge of gemstones.

I'm always happy for comments & feedback. I'm also available for questions. Is there a stone that you're not sure about? Are you curious about a certain gemstone's chemical make-up? What makes hematite shiny anyway? I usually respond within a day's time.
